Who you are
You have 5+ years of in-house legal experience, ideally in a technology or SaaS environment. Your expertise includes negotiating contracts and providing legal guidance on subscription agreements, vendor agreements, and partner agreements. You are adept at navigating complex legal landscapes and have a strong understanding of compliance and risk management. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business objectives. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to articulate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. You are proactive in identifying potential legal issues and are committed to streamlining processes to enhance efficiency.
What you'll do
As a Commercial Counsel at AuditBoard, you will report directly to the Head of Legal and play a crucial role in the legal team. You will independently lead legal negotiations with customers, ensuring that contracts align with the company's strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and drafting various agreements, providing legal advice on business transactions, and supporting the UK&I region with legal matters. You will also have the opportunity to shape initiatives aimed at improving the contracting process as the company scales. Your role will require you to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that AuditBoard remains compliant while pursuing its business objectives. You will collaborate with other departments to foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organization.
