You are a motivated and detail-oriented individual eager to grow your expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. With familiarity in cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, you are ready to assist senior DevOps engineers in managing and provisioning resources effectively. Your exposure to CI/CD tools and practices positions you well for this role, and you have a strong willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment.

You have a basic understanding of security best practices in DevOps and are familiar with GitLab or similar version control systems. Your scripting experience in languages such as Bash or Python will help you contribute to the team's success. Additionally, you have an awareness of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible, which will be beneficial in your daily tasks.

Desirable

While not required, any experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes will be a plus. You may also have some exposure to monitoring and logging tools, which can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will assist in cloud resource management, supporting senior DevOps engineers in managing and provisioning resources on Azure and AWS cloud platforms. You will contribute to the setup, maintenance, and optimization of GitLab repositories and workflows, ensuring that the development process is streamlined and efficient.

Your responsibilities will include contributing to the design and implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes, which are crucial for streamlining development and release cycles. You will collaborate with mentors to configure and maintain testing and production environments, ensuring their reliability and scalability.

You will also apply basic security strategies to safeguard infrastructure, source code, and deployment processes. Performing routine operations related to version control, branching strategies, and code reviews will be part of your daily tasks, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
