Site Reliability Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, particularly with RHEL systems, and you excel in troubleshooting complex issues. Your strong knowledge of OpenShift container platforms allows you to design and implement robust solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.

You are proficient in using Red Hat Satellite for system management, which includes provisioning, patching, and configuration management. Your skills in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language, such as Python, enable you to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Your understanding of networking concepts and protocols is solid, allowing you to effectively manage and troubleshoot network-related issues. You have experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet, which you utilize to maintain system consistency and compliance.

You are familiar with monitoring and logging solutions such as Zabbix and the ELK stack, which you use to ensure system health and performance. Your commitment to implementing security best practices ensures that systems remain compliant with industry standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments, ensuring high availability and performance. You will design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms, collaborating closely with development teams to facilitate application deployment and operations.

You will administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include performing system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks to keep systems up-to-date and secure.

You will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and processes, which is essential for knowledge sharing and operational continuity. Additionally, you will participate in on-call rotations for critical system support, providing timely resolutions to any issues that arise.
