Away is seeking a Wholesale Planning Manager to lead the forecasting and planning process for the Wholesale channel. You'll collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance teams to optimize inventory and drive business performance. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in merchandise planning.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in merchandise planning, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. You understand the intricacies of inventory management and have a proven track record of optimizing planning processes. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to analyze historical trends and current performance effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory needs and sales targets. You are detail-oriented and can manage multiple wholesale partners simultaneously, ensuring that inventory supports account needs without overexposing the business. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for margin improvement through product mix and pricing strategies.
What you'll do
As the Wholesale Planning Manager, you will own the end-to-end forecasting and planning process for the Wholesale channel. You will lead the open-to-buy (OTB) plans by account, door, and SKU, ensuring alignment with sales targets and margin goals. You will collaborate with Sales Managers to inform pre-season assortment and volume recommendations, ensuring that inventory supports account needs. You will analyze historical trends and current performance to optimize sell-in, replenishment, and product lifecycle strategies. Your role will involve translating topline account forecasts into actionable product-level buys in coordination with Merch Planning. You will also support margin planning by surfacing opportunities in product mix and pricing, driving the business in-season based on trends in each partnerβs business.
