Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in finance and have spent at least 5 years working in roles that involve managing commission structures and sales incentives. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to diagnose and solve complex operational problems effectively. You are comfortable collaborating with various teams, including Sales, IT, and Finance, to ensure that commission payouts are accurate and aligned with the company's financial goals.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to build trusted partnerships across functions. You understand the importance of transparency in financial processes and are committed to fostering a culture of accountability within your team. Your experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) equips you to contribute meaningfully to broader commercial initiatives.
What you'll do
As the Senior Manager, Commissions, you will lead the design and structure of incentive compensation plans for Axon's global sales team. You will collaborate with Sales leadership to ensure that these plans are competitive and aligned with the company's objectives. Your role will involve analyzing commission payouts and their impact on financial statements, providing insights that drive strategic decisions.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on commissions, working closely with systems and operations teams to ensure that commission calculations are accurate and processes are efficient. Your analytical skills will be crucial in validating and forecasting commission payouts, helping to maintain the integrity of the company's financial reporting.
In addition to managing commissions, you will play a key role in broader FP&A initiatives, contributing to the financial health of the organization. You will be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in commission management, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and enhance the effectiveness of the sales incentive strategy.
