Overview

Baseten is hiring a Senior Post-Sales Customer Engineer to ensure the technical success of strategic customers. You'll work with Kubernetes and machine learning technologies to resolve issues and improve product performance.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in post-sales technical support, particularly in managing enterprise accounts. With 5+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, you excel at diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and success. Your expertise in machine learning and infrastructure allows you to effectively monitor AI model performance and troubleshoot runtime issues. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, to drive adoption and improve product offerings. Your communication skills enable you to engage with executives and technical teams alike, fostering strong relationships with high-value accounts.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies is a plus. Familiarity with AI model lifecycle management and performance monitoring tools will help you excel in this role. A proactive approach to identifying patterns and suggesting product improvements will set you apart.

What you'll do

As a Senior Post-Sales Customer Engineer, you will be the primary technical owner for our most strategic customers, ensuring smooth deployment and reliability of machine learning workloads in production. You will diagnose and resolve runtime issues related to latency, memory behavior, GPU utilization, and concurrency. Your role will involve debugging infrastructure issues across Kubernetes, ensuring that our customers' AI models perform optimally. You will maintain and improve runbooks, proactively surfacing patterns that drive product enhancements. Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, you will work to remove technical friction and ensure long-term success for our high-value accounts.
