Overview

Bird is hiring an Operations Specialist to support their micromobility fleet in Los Angeles. You'll be responsible for driving, deploying, and relocating scooters to ensure availability for riders. This position is seasonal and part-time with overnight shifts.

What you'll do

As an Operations Specialist at Bird, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the fleet of electric scooters. Your primary responsibilities will include driving to various locations to deploy and relocate scooters, ensuring they are charged and ready for use. You will work overnight shifts from Friday to Sunday, from 8 pm to 4:30 am, which allows you to contribute to the operations during off-peak hours. You will also be responsible for preparing scooters for riders, which includes performing basic maintenance checks and reporting any issues that need attention. Your role is essential in ensuring that riders have access to scooters when they need them, contributing to Bird's mission of providing reliable and sustainable transportation options. You will collaborate with other team members to optimize the deployment strategy and ensure that the fleet is distributed effectively across the city. You will also engage with the community, gathering feedback and insights to help improve operations and enhance the rider experience.
