What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the VOD Encoding team at Bitmovin, you will lead the development of a cutting-edge video encoding service that operates on a global scale. You will be responsible for building and nurturing a high-performing team, conducting regular one-on-ones to support career development and performance management.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to ensure that the encoding service meets the needs of our clients and enhances the overall viewer experience. Your role will involve setting clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team, tracking progress, and making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

You will also play a key role in hiring and onboarding new team members, ensuring that they are integrated into the team culture and equipped with the tools they need to succeed. Your technical expertise will be invaluable in guiding architectural decisions and implementing best practices in software development.

In addition to team leadership, you will be involved in strategic planning and execution, working with senior management to align engineering efforts with business goals.
