Box is seeking an Engineering Manager II for their Launchpad team to drive the development of core product experience pillars. You'll lead engineering efforts focused on design systems, accessibility, and internationalization. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills in an AI-first environment.

Who you are
You have a proven track record of leading engineering teams and driving successful product outcomes. With at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, you understand the intricacies of managing technical projects and fostering a collaborative team environment. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your experience in AI and content management systems will be a significant asset as you guide your team in leveraging these technologies to enhance product offerings.

What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager II for the Launchpad team, you will lead a group of talented engineers in developing and enhancing Box's core product experience pillars. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction of your team, ensuring that projects align with Box's strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scopes and deliverables, ensuring that your team meets deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
You will implement processes that promote efficiency and innovation within your team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Regular one-on-one meetings with team members will be a key part of your role, allowing you to provide mentorship and support for their professional growth. You will also be involved in hiring and onboarding new team members, ensuring that they align with Box's values and culture.
In addition to technical leadership, you will advocate for best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment processes. You will work to ensure that your team is equipped with the tools and resources they need to succeed, and you will actively seek out opportunities for process improvements that can enhance productivity and product quality.
