Who you are
You are an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong technical background in MLOps and analytics. You have a proven track record of managing distributed teams and fostering a collaborative environment where engineers can thrive. Your leadership style emphasizes personal and professional growth, ensuring that your team is focused, productive, and unblocked in their work.
You are fluent in the programming languages and architectures relevant to your team's projects, particularly in popular open-source machine learning tools like Kubeflow, MLflow, and Feast. You understand the importance of healthy engineering practices, documentation, and quality optimization, and you are committed to maintaining high standards in these areas.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with other Engineering Managers, product managers, and architects. You are adept at producing ambitious yet achievable engineering roadmaps that align with the company's strategic goals. You are also a positive influence on team culture, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices would be beneficial. Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools is also a plus, as you will be expected to facilitate technical delivery and reflect on strategy and execution with your team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage a distributed team of engineers focused on MLOps and analytics. You will organize and lead the team in developing and reviewing code, ensuring that the team is aligned with the engineering roadmap and company objectives. You will facilitate regular reflections with your team to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
You will be responsible for mentoring your team members, helping them grow as engineers and ensuring they find satisfaction in their work. You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
Your technical leadership will involve conducting code reviews and providing architectural guidance to ensure that the team adheres to best practices in software development.
