Who you are
You have extensive experience working with Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu, and possess a deep understanding of the full Linux stack from kernel to application. Your expertise spans across networking, virtualization, and graphics, allowing you to optimize Ubuntu for various hardware platforms. You are resourceful and articulate, capable of delivering solutions across server, desktop, and IoT technologies. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with specialist engineers from major silicon companies to integrate next-generation features and performance enhancements.
You are passionate about the adoption of Linux across multiple industries and are eager to make a meaningful impact. Your ability to take a holistic approach to system architecture ensures that you can contribute effectively to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms. You are comfortable leading technical discussions and engagements, providing insights on testing strategies and quality metrics.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and implement the best integration of Ubuntu for the latest IoT desktop and server-class hardware platforms. You will collaborate with partners to deliver an optimized Ubuntu experience, ensuring that their platforms are fully supported. As a technical lead, you will engage with customers to discuss complete system architectures, from cloud to edge, and help them integrate their applications and SDKs with Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.
You will work with advanced operating systems and application technologies, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that enhance the user experience. Your responsibilities will include optimizing applications, building device OS images, and ensuring that the integration process is seamless. You will also participate in testing and quality assurance efforts to maintain the high standards expected of Ubuntu.
