You are adept at defining clear contracts and abstractions between platform and product teams, reducing ambiguity and enhancing collaboration. Your technical expertise is complemented by strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to tackle challenges with innovative solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for evolving Mural's platform to align with the company's expanding product surface area. You will redesign and extend data models to accommodate varied user experiences and entitlements, ensuring that the platform can support future product directions. Your work will involve building enabling platform capabilities, such as event streaming, that product teams rely on, with a focus on delivering clean APIs and establishing clear ownership boundaries.

You will collaborate with senior and principal engineers to make architectural decisions that have a significant impact on the speed and efficiency of product teams. Your contributions will directly influence how quickly and effectively product teams can ship new features, making your role critical to the overall success of the organization. You will also engage in discussions about systems patterns and the tradeoffs involved in implementing eventually consistent architectures, ensuring that the platform remains robust and scalable.
