Who you are
You are a talented and technically oriented user experience designer with a passion for creating intuitive products that simplify complex systems. You have experience working in distributed teams and understand the nuances of designing for open-source software. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with product managers and engineers to shape the future of data centers and cloud experiences. Your background includes a strong foundation in design principles and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every product you work on meets high usability standards.
You have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of UX design, which allows you to communicate effectively with engineering teams. You are comfortable with tools like Figma and have experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that enhance user interaction. Your ability to think critically about user needs and behaviors enables you to design solutions that are not only functional but also delightful to use.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building tools that empower users to create their own cloud experiences, including MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud, and Canonical k8s. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure that the design aligns with technical capabilities and user requirements. Your work will involve conducting user research to gather insights that inform design decisions, as well as iterating on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and users.
You will participate in design reviews and contribute to the overall design strategy for the Infrastructure team. Your role will challenge you to think differently and work smarter, as you will be tasked with turning complex open-source software into efficient and intuitive products. You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills and grow within a company that values innovation and collaboration.
