Who you are
You have a proven track record of leading complex design projects and influencing product strategy through a strong design vision. With 5+ years of experience in product design, you understand the nuances of creating user-centered digital experiences. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to ensure that design solutions align with business goals and user needs. Your expertise in design tools, particularly Figma, allows you to create high-fidelity prototypes and design systems that enhance the user experience. You are passionate about mentoring junior designers and fostering a collaborative team environment where creativity thrives. You are comfortable presenting your design ideas to stakeholders and advocating for user needs throughout the product development process.
Desirable
Experience in the financial technology sector or with ERP systems is a plus. Familiarity with user research methodologies and A/B testing can help you make data-driven design decisions. A portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes will set you apart.
What you'll do
As the Product Design Lead at Carta, you will spearhead the design efforts for our Fund Administration platform, working closely with product managers and engineers to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our users. You will lead a team of designers, guiding them through the design process from ideation to implementation. Your role will involve conducting user research to gather insights that inform design decisions, as well as creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that enhance the user experience. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define design requirements and ensure that the final product aligns with user needs and business objectives. Additionally, you will establish and maintain design standards and best practices across the team, fostering a culture of design excellence.
