Your experience in working with cross-functional teams enables you to bridge the gap between design and engineering, ensuring that your designs are feasible and aligned with technical capabilities. You understand the importance of user research and testing, and you incorporate these insights into your design iterations.

What you'll do

As the Product Design Lead at Shepherd, you will take ownership of the design process from concept to execution. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define the user experience and create design solutions that meet business objectives. Your role will involve conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and iterating on designs based on feedback.

You will lead design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of design excellence within the organization. Your ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for user needs will be crucial in ensuring that the final products align with the company's mission of transforming commercial Property & Casualty insurance.

In addition to your design responsibilities, you will mentor junior designers, helping them grow their skills and develop their design thinking. You will also stay updated on industry trends and best practices, bringing innovative ideas to the team and contributing to the overall design strategy of the company.
