Job Description
Who you are
You are a seasoned Product Designer with a strong background in leading design initiatives — you have a passion for creating user-centered experiences that drive growth and engagement. With at least 5 years of experience in product design, you have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to deliver high-quality consumer experiences. You thrive in environments where you can advocate for design excellence and are motivated by the impact your work has on users' lives.
Your expertise in design tools, particularly Figma, allows you to create compelling visual designs and prototypes that effectively communicate your ideas. You understand the importance of data-driven design and are comfortable using analytics to inform your design decisions. You are a strong communicator, able to articulate your design rationale to stakeholders and provide constructive feedback to your peers during design critiques.
You are committed to applying a human-centered design process — you excel at identifying user problems, exploring innovative solutions, and iterating based on feedback. You have experience leading design work across various initiatives, from concept through execution, and you are eager to contribute to evolving design standards as the organization grows.
Desirable
Experience in the fintech industry or with products that focus on personal finance would be a plus. Familiarity with user research methodologies and A/B testing can enhance your contributions to the team. You are open to learning new tools and methodologies that can improve your design process and outcomes.
What you'll do
As the Product Design Lead for Chime's Growth Design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our products. You will partner closely with product managers and engineers to design experiences that not only drive member growth but also deliver meaningful value to our users. Your work will involve applying a human-centered design process to identify user needs and iterate on solutions based on data and feedback.
You will lead design efforts across key growth initiatives, ensuring that your designs align with Chime's mission to make personal finance accessible. You will participate in design critiques, providing thoughtful feedback to elevate the quality of work across the team. Your advocacy for design excellence will be crucial in influencing the product development process and ensuring that user needs are prioritized.
In this role, you will also contribute to the evolution of Chime's design standards, helping to establish best practices that can scale with the organization. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative environment where creativity and innovation thrive. Your leadership will help guide the team in delivering exceptional user experiences that resonate with our members.
What we offer
Chime offers a competitive salary range of $176,490 to $245,100, depending on your location, skills, and experience. In addition to a base salary, full-time employees are eligible for a bonus and a competitive equity package, along with comprehensive benefits.
