Overview
CFGI is hiring a Tax Accounting and Compliance Consultant to prepare and review global tax provision computations and compliance. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams, requiring a solid understanding of ASC 740 and tax law.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate and/or Big-4 public accounting, with a relevant college degree in accounting. You possess a strong understanding of tax accounting theory and compliance rules, and you are detail-oriented with excellent research and analytical skills. Your communication skills, both oral and written, are exceptional, allowing you to establish relationships with clients and internal teams effectively. You are a solid team player who can independently complete assignments and thrive in a flexible work environment.
Desirable
A CPA certification is preferred, and a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) is desirable. You are willing to travel to local client sites as needed, demonstrating your commitment to client service and collaboration.
What you'll do
In this role, you will assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including current and deferred tax analysis in accordance with ASC 740 for multiple clients. You will prepare stand-alone and consolidated federal and state βC-Corpβ income tax returns using tax return software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. You will also perform tax research on various federal, state, and international tax issues, preparing tax memoranda to support your findings. Working directly with clients on-site as part of an overall tax team, you will establish relationships with internal and external tax personnel, contributing to the overall success of the tax department.
