Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record in risk advisory, particularly in managing SOX compliance projects for public companies. With your extensive experience, you understand the complexities involved in implementing internal controls and can effectively coach and develop your team members. Your strong communication skills allow you to engage with clients and stakeholders confidently, ensuring that project milestones are met on time and within budget.
You possess a deep technical acumen in SOX implementation, having successfully led multiple concurrent projects across various maturity stages. Your ability to design age/stage appropriate controls and provide practical guidance is second to none. You thrive in client service environments and are adept at managing the unique pressures that come with unpredictable working hours.
Your entrepreneurial nature and self-motivation drive you to excel in your role, while your ethical standards ensure that you maintain the highest level of integrity in all client interactions. You are dependable and can be counted on to deliver results, even in challenging situations.
Desirable
Experience with Fortune 1000 companies or new IPOs is a plus, as is familiarity with various project management methodologies. A background in finance or accounting can enhance your effectiveness in this role, allowing you to better understand the needs of your clients.
What you'll do
As a Risk Manager at CFGI, you will lead multiple SOX projects, acting as the principal point of contact for clients and CFGI leadership. You will set realistic deadlines and manage the workload of your team to ensure that project milestones are achieved. Your role will involve frequent communication with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns that may arise.
You will be responsible for scheduling and managing teams of various staff levels based on project needs, ensuring that each team member is effectively utilized. Your expertise in drafting and reviewing control design language and flowcharts will be crucial in guiding your team through the implementation process.
In addition to project delivery, you will also focus on coaching and developing your team members, helping them grow in their roles and enhancing their skills. Your ability to provide constructive feedback and support will foster a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive.
