Who you are

You are an enthusiastic IT professional eager to support your colleagues with their technology needs. You have experience providing in-person and remote IT support, ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to perform their best work. You are calm under pressure and can solve problems confidently, even when faced with urgent issues like Wi-Fi disruptions before important meetings.

You are familiar with key SaaS platforms and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, Okta, Azure, and Office 365. You understand the importance of creating a smooth and professional IT experience for all employees, including senior leadership. You take pride in your attention to detail and your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

What you'll do

As an IT Service Desk Engineer at Checkatrade, you will be the first point of contact for tech-related inquiries from your colleagues. You will assist with everyday tech needs, from setting up laptops for new starters to troubleshooting issues with collaboration tools. Your role will involve managing hardware and assets, ensuring that inventory is organized and up to date. You will also play a key role in facilitating meetings and company-wide events, making sure that everything runs smoothly using tools like Zoom and Google Meet.
