Who you are

You have over 5 years of backend engineering experience, building production systems that scale effectively. You’ve taken ownership of services from design through deployment, and you have a knack for debugging complex distributed systems issues. Your deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot means you’ve shipped high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests, and you have strong opinions on service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies.

You are proficient with cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure, and have experience with serverless technologies. Your knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Jenkins, allows you to streamline development processes effectively. You are also familiar with both relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, which enables you to choose the right data storage solutions for various applications.

You thrive in Agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, and you enjoy collaborating with international teams. Your advanced English skills, both spoken and written, allow you to communicate effectively in multicultural environments. You understand the importance of secure coding practices and data privacy standards, such as GDPR, and you advocate for clean code, performance, and security best practices.

Desirable

While not mandatory, having an understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns like Factory, Adapter, and Proxy will set you apart. You are eager to contribute to knowledge sharing within your team and document technical solutions clearly.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and develop scalable backend services and APIs that drive modern digital solutions for our global clients. You will build, test, and maintain these services using modern technologies, ensuring they meet the high standards expected by our clients. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features that enhance user experiences.

You will implement and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using appropriate testing frameworks, ensuring that the services you develop are robust and reliable. Participating in architecture discussions will be part of your responsibilities, where you will advocate for best practices in coding, performance, and security.

Your contributions will extend to CI/CD automation, monitoring, logging, and infrastructure setup, which are crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our development processes. You will also document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Working in Agile teams, you will participate in ceremonies such as stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, helping to drive the team’s success and adapt to changing project requirements. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our backend services are not only functional but also scalable and secure, meeting the needs of our diverse client base.
