Who you are

You have a strong background in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, with a focus on automation and continuous delivery in cloud environments like AWS. Your experience includes leading initiatives that enhance system reliability and observability, ensuring that best practices are followed in monitoring and incident management.

You are proficient in using Datadog for monitoring and observability, capable of instrumenting metrics across infrastructure and applications. Your ability to create effective alerts and dashboards ensures that system health is continuously monitored, allowing for proactive incident management.

With a collaborative mindset, you thrive in agile environments and are comfortable working with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that improve system performance and reliability. Your experience in CI/CD practices enables you to streamline deployment processes and enhance operational efficiency.

You understand the importance of observability and have experience designing and implementing solutions that integrate logs, metrics, traces, and events. Your skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving allow you to address issues effectively and ensure system resilience.

Desirable

Experience in agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices is a plus. Familiarity with distributed monitoring tools and practices will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will monitor the health of CI&T's systems continuously, creating effective alerts and ensuring proactive incident coverage. You will evolve observability through the instrumentation of infrastructure and application metrics, supporting end-to-end troubleshooting efforts.

You will design and implement observability solutions that integrate various data sources, creating informative dashboards for critical data visualization. Your work will involve developing structured logs and implementing tracing infrastructure to improve event tracking.

You will also be responsible for instrumenting Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools, ensuring that dashboards provide valuable insights into application performance. Your expertise will guide the team in adopting best practices for monitoring and incident response.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other engineers to foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of CI&T's operations.
