You have extensive experience in tax operations, particularly within the Canadian financial landscape, and a deep understanding of securities tax obligations. Your expertise includes handling CRS/FATCA account documentation and annual information reporting to the CRA and clients. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to continuous improvement in tax operations and compliance.

You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at interpreting complex tax regulations. Your hands-on approach allows you to effectively address ongoing CRA regulatory developments while ensuring that your team meets all tax obligations efficiently. You are a subject matter expert who can guide the development of platforms that support Canadian tax requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead Canadian Tax Operations, reporting directly to the Global Head of Tax Operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the compliance with Canadian securities tax obligations for various client types, including retail and institutional clients. Your role will involve acting as a subject matter expert in the continuous development of Clear Street's platforms to support these obligations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all tax-related processes are streamlined and efficient. This includes addressing ongoing regulatory changes and implementing improvements to internal systems. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the tax operations team.
