Who you are

You have extensive experience in tax compliance and management, particularly in income tax provisions under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You understand the complexities of federal, state, and local tax returns and have a strategic mindset to support the Tax leadership team in developing effective department strategies. Your background includes managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and efficiency in tax processes.

You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to review and manage tax provisions and returns effectively. You have a collaborative approach, working closely with various teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives. Your leadership experience enables you to guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.

What you'll do

As the Associate Director, Tax, you will lead the annual and quarterly tax GAAP and Statutory tax provision processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will manage the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate holding companies and insurance subsidiaries. Your role will involve overseeing tax planning and projects, contributing to the strategic direction of the Tax department.

You will collaborate with the Tax leadership team to develop and implement strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax operations. This includes managing relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions. You will also be responsible for staying updated on tax legislation and regulations, ensuring that the company adapts to any changes that may impact tax compliance and strategy.
