Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in tax compliance and management, particularly in income tax provisions under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory reporting. Your background includes managing federal, state, and local tax returns, and you have a strong understanding of tax planning and projects. You are adept at developing strategies that align with departmental goals and have a proven track record of leading teams effectively.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Your analytical mindset enables you to navigate complex tax regulations and ensure compliance while optimizing tax strategies. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment and can adapt to the needs of your team and organization.
What you'll do
As the Associate Director, Tax, you will lead the annual and quarterly tax GAAP and statutory tax provision processes. This involves overseeing the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate holding companies and insurance subsidiaries. You will manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
You will support the Tax leadership team in developing and implementing departmental strategies that align with Oscar's overall business objectives. Your role will require you to stay updated on tax legislation and industry trends to provide insights that inform decision-making. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding your team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.

Oscar provides a competitive salary range of $180,504 - $236,911 per year, along with comprehensive employee benefits.
