You have a strong background in site reliability engineering (SRE) with at least 5 years of experience in managing cloud-based infrastructures. Your expertise in AWS and Kubernetes allows you to effectively handle complex systems and ensure their reliability and performance. You are proficient in Linux and have experience with database management, particularly with PostgreSQL, which helps you optimize system performance and reliability. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in incident management processes.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can identify risks and opportunities for system enhancements. Your ability to define service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) is crucial for maintaining high availability and performance standards. You are passionate about leveraging your technical skills to pioneer innovative solutions that shape the future of work at ClickUp. You are also comfortable with monitoring tools and practices that help maintain system health and performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build a deep understanding of ClickUp's systems, focusing on how they behave, scale, and interact. You will own and drive the incident management process across the engineering organization, ensuring that incidents are handled efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include defining SLOs and SLIs for all services, which will help the team maintain high standards of reliability and performance. You will participate in a follow-the-sun model, collaborating with teams across different time zones to ensure continuous support and improvement.

You will also work closely with software engineers to identify areas for improvement in system architecture and performance. By analyzing system behavior and performance metrics, you will propose and implement changes that enhance reliability and user experience. Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders to report on system performance and reliability metrics, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.
