Who you are

You have a strong background in site reliability engineering with a focus on improving the stability and reliability of cloud-based systems. Your experience includes working with distributed systems and understanding how they behave under load. You are comfortable with incident management processes and have a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

You possess deep technical knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, and you are skilled in defining service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs). Your expertise in monitoring and alerting systems allows you to ensure high availability and performance of applications. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build a comprehensive understanding of ClickUp's systems, focusing on how they scale and interact. You will own and drive the incident management process across the engineering organization, ensuring that incidents are handled efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include defining SLOs and SLIs for all services, collaborating with engineering teams to improve system reliability, and participating in a follow-the-sun model for incident response.

You will also be involved in capacity planning and performance tuning, working closely with developers to optimize application performance. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in site reliability engineering, and you will have the opportunity to pioneer innovative solutions that shape the future of work at ClickUp.
