What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Flink Platform team, you will be responsible for developing the control plane services that orchestrate Flink job lifecycles, including submission, scaling, and recovery. You will design and implement Kubernetes operators to facilitate serverless resource management, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving demands of stream processing.

You will take ownership of the components you work on, focusing on code quality, test coverage, and documentation. Your role will involve drafting designs and collaborating with your team to implement features that enhance the Flink product. You will also engage in discussions about architectural decisions and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team.

Your work will directly impact Confluent's Data in Motion initiative, helping to provide the industry with innovative solutions that cater to the needs of our customers. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
