Who you are
You have a strong background in legal counsel, particularly in privacy and data protection, with experience working in technology sectors. Your collaborative approach allows you to partner effectively with engineering, product, and security teams to navigate complex legal landscapes. You possess a deep understanding of AI technologies and their implications in legal contexts, enabling you to provide actionable business advice. You are skilled at distilling complex legal concepts into clear, concise guidance for non-legal stakeholders, ensuring that all teams understand their compliance obligations. Your proactive mindset helps you identify potential legal risks before they become issues, allowing the organization to innovate while staying compliant.
Desirable
Experience with drafting and negotiating privacy and security clauses in contracts is a plus. Familiarity with AI risk assessments and the ability to design AI-powered legal tools will set you apart. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to the evolving legal landscape surrounding AI and data protection.
What you'll do
In this role, you will draft and negotiate privacy and security clauses and contracts, ensuring that all agreements align with legal standards and best practices. You will conduct due diligence on existing and new suppliers, completing privacy and AI risk assessments to mitigate potential risks. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing AI-powered legal tools that automate workflows and improve accuracy within the legal team. You will assess new product features for privacy and AI risks, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to develop and implement effective mitigating controls. Additionally, you will draft and update data protection and AI-related policies and procedures, providing guidance on tactical and strategic product and privacy matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
