Crusoe is hiring a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Software Defined Networking to lead the development of their SDN strategy. You'll work extensively with the Linux Kernel and technologies like XDP/EBPF and DPDK in San Francisco.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and operating systems at scale in production environments. Your expertise includes system programming with C, C++, and/or Rust, and you possess extensive knowledge of Linux Systems Internals and computer architecture. You are well-versed in Network Programming and have a passion for driving innovation in cloud infrastructure.
You thrive in collaborative environments, guiding engineering teams through architecture decisions, design processes, and code reviews. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges effectively, and you have a keen interest in sustainable technology and its applications in AI.
Desirable
Experience with SmartNICs and DPU/IPU technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with industry-leading networking infrastructure. You are eager to contribute to a mission-driven company that values responsible and transformative cloud solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of Crusoe's Software Defined Networking strategy. You will be highly hands-on, guiding the engineering team through architecture decisions, design processes, and implementation tasks. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the network infrastructure organization to develop cutting-edge networking solutions and leading Linux Kernel and driver development.
You will also be involved in system architecture design, production support, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that the networking infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your contributions will directly impact the company's mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence through innovative cloud infrastructure.
