Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable production systems. You have a deep understanding of distributed systems and have successfully navigated the challenges of service architecture and monitoring. Your expertise in Java and Spring allows you to design and implement high-performance APIs that can handle significant loads. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, where you can share your knowledge and mentor junior engineers.
You thrive on solving complex technical problems and enjoy the challenge of optimizing workflows and enhancing developer experience. Your experience includes working with large-scale data systems, and you have a keen interest in the latest advancements in AI and machine learning. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's output.
What you'll do
As a Staff Backend Engineer at Databricks, you will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services that support our data and AI infrastructure platform.
