Databricks is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead the Databricks Runtime team in Amsterdam. You'll coordinate product activities from vision to implementation, focusing on cloud infrastructure and data governance. This role requires 6+ years of experience in product management.

Who you are

You have over 6 years of experience in product management, ideally with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and data governance. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, equipping you with the technical knowledge necessary for this role. You excel at gathering customer requirements and translating them into actionable product features, ensuring that the products you manage meet user needs effectively. Your experience includes working cross-functionally with engineering teams, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders seamlessly.

You possess a deep understanding of modern cloud infrastructure and data governance solutions, which enables you to make informed decisions that drive product success. Your ability to define and measure OKRs for your products demonstrates your commitment to achieving measurable outcomes. You are skilled at driving product launches, collaborating with marketing teams to create impactful communications such as blog posts and webinars that resonate with customers.

What you'll do

As the Staff Product Manager for the Databricks Runtime team, you will own the end-to-end product management process, from vision to implementation. You will gather customer requirements and design features that simplify how customers process petabytes of data daily. Your role involves coordinating with engineering teams to ensure that the products are built to specification and delivered on time. You will drive the prioritization and development of features that measurably reduce the cost and time needed for operating ETL and machine learning workflows.

You will engage with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback, which will inform your long-term product strategy and roadmap. Your responsibilities will include defining product roadmaps and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to ensure product success both pre- and post-launch. You will also be responsible for measuring the impact of your products through defined metrics, ensuring that they deliver real value to users.
