Job Description
Who you are
You are an experienced Revenue Accounting professional with over 5 years of experience in the field, particularly within the SaaS industry. You possess a customer-centric mindset and have a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles, specifically U.S. GAAP (ASC 606). Your ability to navigate complex accounting and finance compliance issues makes you a valuable partner during contract negotiations. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and Revenue Operations to ensure that deals are structured effectively to maximize revenue.
You have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with key business partners, ensuring that all documentation and accounting for non-standard contracts are meticulously reviewed. Your analytical skills allow you to assess the ongoing state of local business and compliance requirements, providing management insights and recommendations for improving scalability and efficiency. You are proactive in identifying gaps in processes and developing solutions that minimize manual workarounds, enhancing transactional efficiency.
Desirable
Experience with external reporting requirements for quarterly and annual audits is a plus. Familiarity with quoting processes and the ability to support enhancements in this area will further strengthen your candidacy. You are adaptable and open to learning, eager to contribute to the growth of Databricks in the APAC region.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for improving contract review processes and supporting the sales cycle at Databricks. You will partner with various teams to ensure that revenue recognition and financial reporting goals are met. Your expertise will guide the Sales organization in navigating complex accounting issues during contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP standards. You will review customer contracts across diverse business models and product lines, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant.
You will also assess the local business environment and compliance requirements, providing insights that will help streamline operations. Your role will involve collaborating with Deal Desk, Legal, and IT to identify gaps in current processes and develop improvements that enhance efficiency. You will play a key role in supporting external reporting requirements for audits, ensuring that all financial documentation is prepared accurately and on time.
