Databricks is hiring a Senior Strategic Account Executive to acquire and grow focus customers in the Retail/CPG vertical. You'll be responsible for developing targeted acquisition strategies and building essential C-Level relationships. This role requires 5+ years of experience in sales within the Retail/CPG domain.
Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience selling to strategic accounts, particularly within the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors. Your expertise lies in understanding complex sales cycles and guiding deals to closure effectively. You possess a deep understanding of the Databricks product and can communicate its value to customers and partners with clarity and enthusiasm. You are proactive in prospecting for new opportunities and have a track record of successfully closing new accounts while expanding business in existing ones.
You excel at establishing essential relationships with C-Level executives, including those in Engineering, Platform, Architecture, and Data Science roles. Your ability to build value in all engagements is key to guiding successful negotiations and ensuring customer satisfaction. You are adept at developing a comprehensive understanding of your customers' businesses, which allows you to identify critical data use cases and buying centers that can enhance the impact of Databricks within their organizations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for securing new logos with strategic accounts in the Retail/CPG vertical. You will create a focused and targeted logo acquisition strategy that aligns with Databricks' business goals. Your efforts will involve expanding the use cases of Databricks in both existing and newly won accounts, maximizing the value delivered to customers. You will orchestrate and leverage Databricks teams and ecosystem partners to enhance your sales motions and drive growth.
You will document and plan the growth of Databricks usage for your customers, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding technical teams and important staff within customer organizations, fostering collaboration and driving successful outcomes. You will be expected to navigate complex decision-making processes and compress decision cycles to achieve timely results.
