Who you are
You have a strong background in product management, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a technical environment. You are customer-obsessed and have a strategic mindset, capable of defining product vision and roadmaps that align with customer needs and business goals. Your ability to engage with large enterprise customers allows you to gather insights that inform product development and strategy. You thrive in cross-functional teams and have experience coordinating product activities from vision to implementation, ensuring successful product launches.
You possess a deep understanding of technical concepts related to data and AI infrastructure, which enables you to communicate effectively with engineering teams. You are action-oriented and can prioritize tasks to drive product success. Your experience in stakeholder management ensures that you can navigate complex organizational structures and align various teams towards common goals. You are passionate about solving technical challenges and are eager to contribute to the success of the Compute Platform at Databricks.
Desirable
Experience with cloud computing platforms and data processing technologies is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development frameworks will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A background in data science or AI can provide valuable context for understanding customer needs and product capabilities.
What you'll do
As a Senior Product Manager for the Compute Platform, you will research, define, and own the product vision and strategy. You will engage with enterprise customers to understand their needs and translate those insights into actionable product roadmaps. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will coordinate the development of features that enhance the Compute Platform's capabilities, ensuring that it meets the diverse needs of Databricks' customers.
You will lead cross-functional initiatives, working with various internal stakeholders to ensure product success from pre-launch to post-launch. Your role will involve defining key performance metrics to measure product impact and success, as well as conducting competitive analysis to inform product positioning. You will facilitate communication between teams, ensuring alignment on product goals and timelines.
In addition to managing the product lifecycle, you will also be responsible for conducting user research and gathering feedback to continuously improve the Compute Platform. Your strategic insights will help shape the long-term direction of the product, making it a critical component of Databricks' offerings.
