Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering and analytics, with at least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role. Your expertise spans cloud platforms, machine learning, and AI, allowing you to effectively consult on big data architecture and solutions. You are skilled in building relationships with customers and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor, guiding them through the implementation of data solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales teams and product teams to identify use cases and develop architectures that meet customer needs.

You are familiar with open source projects such as Apache Spark™, Delta Lake, and MLflow, and you have a passion for leveraging these technologies to drive meaningful outcomes for businesses. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible manner makes you an effective partner for customers and internal teams alike. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the data landscape.

Desirable

Experience with financial services or fintech is a plus, as you will be working within the Financial Services team at Databricks. Familiarity with additional data tools and platforms will enhance your ability to provide comprehensive solutions to customers. A strong understanding of data governance and compliance will also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Databricks, you will lead the growth of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform by partnering with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems. You will provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks, executing proof of concepts for strategic projects and validating integrations with cloud services and third-party applications. Your role will involve building and presenting reference architectures, how-tos, and best practices to ensure successful implementation.

You will work closely with customers to identify their unique use cases and develop tailored solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Databricks platform. Your expertise in data engineering and analytics will be crucial as you guide customers through the implementation process, ensuring they achieve meaningful outcomes. You will also collaborate with your teammates and the product team to provide feedback and insights that drive product improvements and innovations.
