What you'll do

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Databricks, you will lead the Materialized Views engineering team, focusing on the development of next-generation features for ETL workloads and query acceleration. You will design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant architectures that can handle exabytes of data daily. Your role will involve incrementally maintaining materialized views, optimizing queries, and managing resources effectively to ensure high availability and performance.

You will collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to define the roadmap for Materialized Views and prioritize features based on customer needs. Your technical leadership will guide the team in adopting best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and documentation. You will also mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
