Who you are
You have extensive experience as a technical solutions engineer, ideally with a focus on customer support in the tech industry. Your expertise in Apache Spark and data technologies allows you to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex product issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and success.
You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis. You are comfortable working with tools like Spark UI metrics and event logs to optimize customer environments and detect early performance issues.
Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to train customer engineering teams on best practices in performance tuning and debugging. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with field and engineering teams to deliver tailored technical solutions.
You are proactive in building rapid proofs of concept and deploying solutions that align with customer business goals. Your ability to develop comprehensive playbooks and maintain a knowledge base of common issues showcases your commitment to continuous improvement.
Desirable
Experience with machine learning and AI workflows is a plus, as is familiarity with performance tuning in cloud environments. You are always looking for ways to improve processes and champion best practices within your team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will partner closely with Databricks' field and engineering teams to deliver high-touch specialized support for strategic customers. You will leverage your technical expertise to triage and resolve complex product issues, ensuring that customers can effectively utilize Databricks' features.
You will perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve performance and reliability issues in Spark, SQL, Delta, and Streaming. Collaborating with R&D and NOC teams, you will discover requirements for continuous monitoring to optimize customer environments.
Your responsibilities will include building rapid proofs of concept and deploying solutions that address customer challenges. You will also develop comprehensive playbooks and maintain a knowledge base of common issues and solutions for Spark, ML, and AI workflows.
Training customer engineering and business teams on best practices in performance tuning and debugging will be a key part of your role. You will pilot new best practices and champion process improvements, ensuring that the support provided is of the highest quality.
