Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years' experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining applications using Python, Java, or Scala. Your solid experience with SQL-based databases allows you to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues effectively. You are well-versed in the Big Data ecosystem and have a deep understanding of the Databricks platform, which enables you to provide best practices support for custom-built solutions. Your technical expertise is complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with customers, guiding them through their Databricks journey and helping them achieve their strategic goals.

You demonstrate a true sense of ownership in your work, coordinating with engineering and escalation teams to resolve customer issues and requests. You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and coaching other team members, contributing to a collaborative work environment. Your commitment to customer advocacy drives you to continuously improve your skills and knowledge, particularly in AWS and Azure, through learning and internal training programs.

Desirable

Experience with third-party integrations in a Databricks environment is a plus, as is familiarity with performance optimization in customer-specific environments. You are proactive in participating in the creation and maintenance of company documentation and knowledge articles, ensuring that best practices are shared across the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer at Databricks, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Spark Platform-related issues. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues, ensuring that clients can effectively utilize the Databricks unified analytics platform. Your role will involve delivering best practices support for custom-built solutions developed by Databricks customers, as well as providing suggestions for improving performance in customer-specific environments.

You will assist customers with issues related to third-party integrations within the Databricks environment, demonstrating your expertise and problem-solving skills. Your ability to communicate effectively with customers will be essential as you guide them through their technical challenges and help them achieve their strategic goals.

In addition to direct customer support, you will participate in the creation and maintenance of company documentation and knowledge articles, contributing to the overall knowledge base of the organization. You will also have the opportunity to strengthen your expertise in AWS and Azure through ongoing learning and internal training programs.
