Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in closing sales, particularly in field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1 million, with an average deal size of $100,000 or more. Your ability to prospect and build relationships is intuitive, allowing you to navigate complex sales processes effectively. You understand the importance of maintaining and expanding relationships within your territory, ensuring that you can deliver value and ROI to your clients. You possess a deep comprehension of customer businesses, enabling you to identify their pain points and provide appropriate solutions. Your resourcefulness shines when faced with challenges, and you have a keen sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
Desirable
While not mandatory, experience with cloud solutions and familiarity with the technology landscape can enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in working with Fortune 1000 companies is also a plus, as it will help you navigate the complexities of large enterprise sales.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies, running an efficient sales process that targets and closes new business. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your goal will be to develop a deep understanding of your customers' businesses, allowing you to negotiate favorable pricing and business terms effectively. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth within your assigned territory. Ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency will be crucial, as you will need to identify a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities. You will also be responsible for demonstrating the value of Datadog's solutions to potential clients, ensuring that they see the ROI of partnering with us.
