Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of closing experience, with a strong background in field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1 million, handling an average deal size of $100,000 or more. Your ability to prospect and build relationships with Fortune 1000 companies sets you apart, as you understand the nuances of navigating complex sales processes.
You possess a deep comprehension of customer businesses and can identify their pain points, especially as they operate in or migrate to cloud environments at scale. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to secure favorable pricing and business terms by effectively selling value and ROI. You are resourceful and can tackle challenges that require innovative solutions, demonstrating an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your goal is to develop a robust understanding of your customers' businesses and their unique challenges.
You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, ensuring that you sell the value of Datadog's solutions effectively. Handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory will be crucial. You will also ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of the sales process.
