Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of closing experience, particularly in field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. Your background includes selling into large BFSIs, and you have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+. You are driven and have operated with an average deal size of $100k+, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex sales processes. You possess a strong methodology for prospecting and building a pipeline independently, showcasing your resourcefulness in challenging situations. Your experience in innovative tech companies, especially in SaaS or IT infrastructure, has equipped you with the skills necessary to thrive in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will focus on targeting and closing new business with Datadog’s largest and most strategic customers. You will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. Building and maintaining specific relationship maps for your territory will be crucial, as you will need to develop a deep understanding of your customers' businesses. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, emphasizing the value and ROI of Datadog's solutions. Handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory will be a key responsibility. You will ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency, demonstrating your intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
