Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in closing sales, particularly in field selling within mid-market and enterprise sectors. You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of over $1 million, with an average deal size of $100,000 or more. Your ability to prospect effectively and develop relationships with key stakeholders is a testament to your sales methodology. You are driven and possess a strong understanding of customer business needs, enabling you to negotiate favorable pricing and business terms effectively.

You thrive in a hybrid workplace, valuing collaboration and creativity in your work environment. Your resourcefulness shines when faced with challenges, and you have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. You understand the importance of maintaining existing customer expectations while expanding your reach within your assigned territory.

Desirable

Experience with cloud solutions and a deep comprehension of the challenges organizations face when migrating to cloud environments will set you apart. Familiarity with sales forecasting and maintaining high accuracy in your sales pipeline is also beneficial.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies, running an efficient sales process to close new business. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your focus will be on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale, allowing you to deliver the appropriate Datadog solutions.

You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, emphasizing the value and ROI of Datadog's offerings. Your role will also involve handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory. You will ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency, demonstrating resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions.
