You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the public sector, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your ability to understand customer needs and convey the value of technology solutions sets you apart. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about technology, always looking to learn and grow in your career. You possess strong negotiation skills and can effectively manage relationships with large enterprises, ensuring customer satisfaction while driving revenue growth.
Desirable
Experience working with Federal agencies or in the public sector is a plus. Familiarity with cloud technologies and hybrid environments will enhance your ability to engage with clients transitioning to the cloud. A background in technology sales will help you articulate the benefits of Datadog's solutions effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies, running an efficient sales process to identify and meet customer needs. You will maintain and build relationship maps for your territory, ensuring you have a comprehensive understanding of existing and aspirational contacts. Your deep comprehension of customers' businesses will enable you to negotiate favorable pricing and business terms, selling the value and ROI of Datadog's products. You will handle existing customer expectations while also seeking new opportunities within Civilian Agencies, contributing to the growth of the organization.
You will collaborate closely with the Federal sales team, leveraging their expertise and methodologies to enhance your sales approach. Your role will involve regular communication with internal stakeholders to align on strategies and share insights from the field. You will also participate in training and development programs to further your skills and contribute to the overall success of the team.
