Your superb negotiation skills, or willingness to develop them, are essential for managing unconventional relationships that have broad implications across the company. You are a strong-willed individual who thinks creatively and proactively, and you are eager to roll up your sleeves and get hands dirty in your work.
With experience in corporate development or a related field, you have a track record of sourcing, managing, and executing acquisitions and venture investments. You are comfortable working at the most senior levels of an organization and can effectively communicate strategic documents and recommendations. You prioritize objectives and plan internal activities to drive due diligence and valuation analysis, ensuring that you support integration by partnering with key leaders.
You value collaboration and authentic relationships, understanding that they are crucial to fostering a positive office culture. Desirable

What you'll do
In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of Datadog’s products and identify potential new markets to enter. You will prioritize objectives and plan internal activities that align with the company’s strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include driving due diligence and valuation analysis for potential acquisitions, as well as spearheading term sheet and contract negotiations. You will create and present strategic documents and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring that your insights are actionable and aligned with Datadog’s vision.
You will be a key partner to Datadog’s founders and startup founders, facilitating relationships that may be unconventional but are essential for the company’s growth. Your role will require you to research and generate ideas for new markets, and you will be expected to support integration efforts by collaborating with key leaders across the organization. You will also play a significant role in shaping the future of Datadog by driving product strategy and innovation.
