What you'll do
In this role, you will lead a team of 7 engineers, overseeing the development of tools and automations that help customers manage their cloud costs effectively. You will collaborate with product management to influence the product roadmap and prioritize new features that align with customer needs. Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating career development discussions to help your engineers grow in their roles. You will also be involved in technical decision-making, ensuring that the solutions your team builds are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance and engineering, to gather insights and feedback that inform product development. By leveraging Datadog's customer telemetry and observability data, you will guide your team in identifying optimal commitments and discounts from cloud providers, ultimately helping customers adopt sophisticated FinOps practices. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a culture of accountability and excellence within your team, driving successful outcomes for both your engineers and the customers they serve.
