Who you are

You have a strong background in technical sales, ideally with experience in enterprise environments — you understand how to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and can effectively engage with customers to address their needs. Your written and oral communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate Datadog's value proposition clearly and persuasively.

You are passionate about educating customers on observability risks that are meaningful to their business, and you are skilled at building and executing evaluation plans with customers. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with sales teams to close complex opportunities through your technical expertise and credibility.

What you'll do

As a Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers. You will own the technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, ensuring they understand the product's capabilities and how it can address their specific challenges. Your role will involve delivering product and technical briefings and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits of Datadog's offerings.

You will maintain accurate notes and feedback in the CRM regarding customer input, both wins and losses, and proactively engage with customers and Datadog's business and technical teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape. Your insights will help shape product development and prioritize features based on customer needs.
