Who you are

You have a strong background in technical sales, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a consultative role where you've successfully influenced outcomes in complex sales cycles. Your ability to understand customer business objectives and constraints allows you to shape technical requirements effectively, ensuring alignment with Docker's unique value proposition. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional developer experiences.

You possess a deep understanding of Docker and its applications, enabling you to act as a trusted technical advisor to customers. Your commercial mindset helps you navigate competitive landscapes, and you are skilled at leading technical discovery sessions to uncover customer needs. You are a strong communicator, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with cloud technologies and familiarity with DevOps practices would be advantageous. A background in software development or engineering can further enhance your ability to engage with customers and understand their technical challenges.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead technical discovery sessions to deeply understand customer business objectives and success criteria. You will shape technical requirements early in the sales cycle, ensuring that customer outcomes align with Docker's differentiated value. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing structured Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to demonstrate the capabilities of Docker's solutions.

You will collaborate closely with Account Executives and Post Sales teams to drive measurable business and technical value through your technical selling efforts. As a champion owner, you will advocate for customers internally, ensuring their needs are met throughout the sales process. Your thought leadership will influence strategic selling initiatives and help position Docker as the go-to solution for app development.
