Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or a related field — you've successfully led M&A transactions and understand the intricacies of deal structuring and negotiation. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to evaluate business models and perform financial analysis with ease. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align on strategic objectives. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to build relationships with stakeholders, including investment banking and venture capital firms. You are comfortable with both domestic and international travel, as this role may require you to engage with companies globally. You are excited about the opportunity to drive post-deal success through effective integration planning and execution.
Desirable
Experience in a fast-paced tech environment is a plus, as is familiarity with the logistics or food delivery industry. A strong network within the investment community can also enhance your effectiveness in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead all aspects of the deal cycle, from sourcing potential acquisitions to executing transactions that align with DoorDash's strategic goals. You will coordinate due diligence and deal execution across various teams, including operations, engineering, product, finance, accounting, and legal. Your ability to identify and research industries, companies, and technologies will be crucial in recommending opportunities for M&A or investment. You will also oversee integration planning and execution to ensure post-deal success, driving value creation for DoorDash. Your leadership will guide the Corporate Development team in navigating complex transactions and achieving strategic objectives.
