Who you are
You have extensive experience as a Staff Software Engineer, particularly in growth monetization, where you've successfully led technical strategies for checkout, trial, conversion, and subscription systems. Your background includes working with AI and machine learning applications to enhance customer journeys and optimize conversion funnels. You understand the intricacies of subscription-based or SaaS business models and have a proven track record of driving revenue growth and customer retention.
You thrive in high-visibility roles and enjoy mentoring engineers across various experience levels. Your collaborative spirit allows you to partner effectively with Product, Data Science, and Design teams to define and execute the technical roadmap for monetization. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are adept at aligning engineering investments with business priorities.
Desirable
Experience with e-commerce platforms or experimentation frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with large-scale systems that serve millions of users. You are passionate about building scalable and reliable systems that have a measurable impact on business outcomes. Your ability to architect AI/ML-powered solutions for conversion optimization and predictive modeling sets you apart as a leader in your field.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of systems that power Dropbox's monetization flows, including checkout, trials, subscriptions, and pricing strategies. You will define and drive the technical roadmap for Growth Monetization, ensuring that engineering efforts align with the company's business objectives. Your work will involve architecting innovative solutions that leverage AI and machine learning to personalize offers and optimize conversion funnels.
You will own the end-to-end development process, from initial design through deployment and monitoring, ensuring that systems are scalable and reliable. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help shape the future of Dropbox monetization and contribute to a best-in-class engineering practice. Your leadership will guide a team of 15 engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
What we offer
Dropbox offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of CAD 204,900 to CAD 277,200.
