Who you are

You have a strong background in full-stack development, with expertise in building user-facing applications on web and desktop platforms using front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3. Your proficiency in backend development technologies like Golang and Python enables you to create robust and scalable solutions that enhance user engagement and drive business growth. You are experienced in building large distributed systems at scale, understanding the complexities and challenges that come with it.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and ML engineers. Your ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications is key to your success in delivering impactful software solutions. You are passionate about leveraging AI and machine learning to improve productivity and efficiency in the workplace, and you are excited about the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of AI products at Dropbox.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered software applications. You will collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your work will involve building user-facing applications that simplify the way people work together, handling over a billion files a day for users around the world.

You will have the opportunity to grow a product at the beginning of its S-curve, defining the next generation of AI products at Dropbox. Your responsibilities will include developing scalable solutions that drive user engagement and business growth, as well as ensuring the performance and reliability of the applications you build. You will also be involved in code reviews and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
